It is quite possible for experienced skiers to visit a different resort every day, all on the same lift pass –  Ski Safari!

Schladming with its challenging World Cup pistes is only 9 mins away is easily accessed via the free local ski bus, car or minibus Ski Shuttle Service. Haus is approx. 12 mins and the Rittisberg in Ramsau is 6 mins away.

Schladming Hosted the 2013 World Ski Championships!

A lift just 100m from the Hoffelner features a  sunny blue run (approx. 800 meters long) that is excellent for beginners, sledging or just gaining confedience before hitting the mountain. Private lessons can be booked here

Ramsau itself has 40km of piste, including the Dachstein Glacier, the main runs being at the Rittisberg, some excellent skiing can be had here. It’s a real family resort and the pistes are well groomed and quiet with mostly locals and rarely any lift queues at all. There are great sunny pistes in Ramsau for beginners and improving intermediates, also some great off piste through trees.

There are several excellent, English speaking, ski schools in the village which all have great fun areas with safe ski runs and children’s parks. Lessons can be booked for either half or full days, with courses of from 1 – 5 days. Lunch time supervision is also available for children. Reasonably priced Private Lessons are also available, either one to one or as a private group lesson. Group discounts are also offered on Ski Hire.

The Dachstein Glacier

The skiing here is excellent – between 2200m and 2800m and open almost all year.

This area guarantees that there is always snow here. There is some great off pitse and ski touring possible here and it is possible to ski down from the Glacier to the base station – suitable for very experienced skiers only and preferably with a guide!

A very picturesque trail takes you from the cable car base station right down to Ramsau village passing the Rittisberg – 7.5km.

The Glacier is also the home of the Atomic Super Park – snow boarding park which is rebuilt every year in the autumn and is host to several snow boarding events through the season.
